Family!! Well I can't get a bike from the mission, however, I know the one I have will last me out. Also I would but a new razor head they just don't have the correct size anywhere. So I am writing today because the library was closed on Monday and then I went to McAllen again to a 3 day training. It was good a lot of things are changing in how we do missionary work. Now we are to get a referral from ever person and every lesson after the first one with an investigator must be in the house of a member. So that is a big challange to do but it can be done. Also, yesterday got a call from the mission office to see what airport I want to fly into. I told the salt lake airpoty if that's ok we you all?? haha gotcha Just kidding I said the Pocatello airport. I will be landing with my good friend Elder Sanderson. That will be so much fun. I sat with him on the way down from Salt Lake to Dallas. Before training on Monday night we had a big Miracle. We got a call from the mission office and it was a referral of a young lady whose College teacher is a member and the member called the office to find out what missionaries would be her students and while I am talking to the mission office the young lady calls us twice because she could wait for us to come over. I couldn't take the call we had to jump back into the lesson that we had and then we called her back and went to her house. Super prepared and she her needs was wanting the gift of the Holy ghost So we taught her Gospel of Jesus Christ and wanted to be baptized again to receive it. However, in the middle of the lesson she stopped us and had tons of questions where the restoration would have applied. So we told her next lesson. She has a super bussy schedule and we haven't been able to met with her lately. So pray that she will come to church. Her name is Courtney Carpenter like the singers. Other than that just pray that we can find some new people that are going to progress. would be the best.  Also as you know my area is lots of English so it is good to know that my Spanish won't go too far away from me afterwards. I am a little bit slower at speaking again a little but still understanding everything. It is like starting up an old engine up. Also before I forget. What kind of suvenres do you all want? I am no idea. I would get you some cool Mexican stuff but I don't thing that I am in the right area for that right now. there isn't on of those stores around. So I don't know?  Something of Texas or Mexico? I wish Meixco because the most part of my mission has almost been in Mexico. I will be writing on monday so thing of somethings to talk about because that is only a couple of days away and I hope to have some to say. My companion is doing good he is learning a lot and even in this area his Spanish has gotten so much better. the weather is super nice down here it has improved a lot. It is like Spring down here right now. Have you guys seen a robin Bird yet that is when you know it is spring that is what julianne taught me. I thought I saw on the other Day and then told me companion about it. HE never had heard that saying beforehand. Well, I love you guys so much!! I can feel it everyday. Just get swimming :) Love you.

So the morning that we woke up and found all the snow is the morning that we had to drive to McAllen 45 minutes away and on the day just because of the cold and everything school statrt at 10:00 that morning. Also there closed down the express way and it wasn't even bad at all. I got to drive the Zone Leaders Van so that was fun. Before I drove I relized that I hadn't driven since july!! Whoa. Everytime it gets hard, when the wind pushes a little bit harder than you think you can push the words of Mike come it my head Head down, push, and work hard Last week it was super cold also!! It is cold on the bikes because you create your own wind and then when the wind is blowing against you it is double the worst. Also I called that number earlier in the week and now my card is working so that is good. It is crazy that you guys haven't been receive lots of mositer because last year and the start of this year as been so wet. That is good to hear that great-grandma is doing better I can't believe she will have 99 years this year!! Whoa Yea you told me about the letter that is so so very cool!! Not going to lie I pray she makes it to May!! :) We there isn't to much new not that I can think about right now. We are still working with Victor he was suppose to get baptized yesterday but felll ill I guess. He  is so crazy!! Oh also transferrs are tomorrow and I am staying and so is my companion. The only one in the District that is leaving is Elder Bertrand who just finished training Elder Nielson and his new Companion is Elder Gualette (Sp) the other missionary from Pocatello Julieanne Knows his mother. He will be in the District with us and live with us so that is cool and exciting. So it looks like I will finish up the mission in this area or get trunkie transferred which means the last 6 weeks or the mission go to that area and then die, Which is a jargon in the missionary language for the time that you finish your mission your dead, that is hard right. WHen I first got into the mission and my trainer told me oh yea he already died talking about a missionary and didn't put to much thought it in while saying it. I responded wait more missionaries have died!!??? With a scared face then he had to explain to me that it is a saying in the mission langauge or a jargon. So that is what it is looking like for me. I am glad to stay here. We have a mountain to still climb and work and I felt a little overwhelmed this morning but I will reiterate the quote from my beloved unlce Kim and one Apostle that I can't remember and that is to Work, Work, Work. Reiterated over the pulpuit was Tate Shup Up and Work. So that is plan that the spirit told me this morning while I was pondering. Work, work, work, and pray the Lord will help out and make up the faults. I know it can be done. other than that I am doing super good. Keeping the faith and head up high.  Just like the song says on the blists CD Hold! Hold you head you high. Which he I was younger I distinctively remember singing blow! Blow your head off then mother correcting me, I don't know if you recall that Mom? haha well sorry that I am so random today that is how it always is. It has and is so coming to pass would President Dye said when you set me apart. You will be rejuvenated in the work while remembering the love that your family has for you. Oh how that was so true and directed by the spirit. I am grateful that Melissa Roberts was so fast and took such great-careful notes. I am running out of time here for emailing. I love you guys so much and can feel the love and prayers dumping out on me here while I work. I am doing wonderful and I love this work with all my heart just How I love the Savior and you all. I am sorry that I have miss spelled so many words I am trying to use them a lot so that I can know them in my native language and then use them in Spanish.  No spell check today. i can say the words the hard part is the spelling. love ya.

Kyle: haha yea i do!! It was 30's and Aunt Allison was right it is such a different cold. it is because of the humiltity. We would talk to people and they would be so puzzed we were outside. One lady pulled up next to us because she was so worried about us and advised us to go home because a storm was on the yern. We smiled and said thanks then said to ourselves while laughing we can't.

haha when we were out working last night people told us a little bit about the game. We had a couple of set appointments with people but they were watching the game. After a guy told us about the game I laughed and told me companion the game doesn't even matter to me at all. He laughed and said even before the mission I don't think that I have watched a full super bowl game. Haha I totally had some pictures to send to yous but I forgot my camera again opps. Also question about my new card it worked once now it isn't working? I tried to call that # on the front to activate it but couldn't get a hold of someone to do it so I just tried it and it worked once now it isn't. Don't worry about it this week because the only places that I have tried it were a Marshalls and at a small business owned vacuum store and it didn't work at the small vacuum store. I needed to get a new filter. The winter Olympics are already here? that is crazy. We also had a freeze here it was cool. Not a total freeze but the trees had ice on them. I took picture. We are doing well. WE have someone looking to get baptized this coming week. His name is Victor and he is a bit crazy he is not all there socially but is super smart and bore is testimony yesterday and it was very good a short. I guess before I came he did that is Spanish ward and was pretty much yelling into the microphone is Spanish and English until someone from the stand told him that his time was up. so I was super nervous when he told me to guide him up there and that he wanted to be the first person to go. haha he did super good he didn't know quit how to end it but it was smooth. He knows a lot of enormous words in English so sometimes he confuses me. haha like he is so smart he is crazy. I learn new words thought Like plumage and that is like the word in Spanish La Pluma which means feather or pen in English used for pen is because in the old times with ink and a feather I Guess? His interview with our Zone leader went good too. Who is Kyla? Man dad is working like crazy!! What does he do if he ever gets sleepy? I have picked up on that attribute of him where I can fall asleep on a dime. yea what is your calling right now is the stake mom? I forgot what it was when you left stake young woman's sports director? Also about my bike so you know how it was stuck in the gear what I did was a loosened the cable and then tightened it to where it would be in a stuck in a lower gear and not at 7 and now I can change from 2 or 3 in the big one and now it is so much easier and it works. So I think it can hold out. Anyways who knows I might be transferred to a car area? I am doing super good. This last week it was so cold and I didn't prepare myself for a mission that is cold I had to wear my pajamas that you gave my under my pants to help keep me warm on the bike haha. On the day with the ice I had on one sweater, that 2 pieces thing that you guys got from missionary mall, hat, glove, and a scarf wrapped all around my face. I had to adjust my helmet to fit over all of it and it almost didn't fit. I had pictures I will definitely send them next week so sorry.. We also saw a possum running in front of us one night so we took off running so we could see it up closer. It ran in some bushes and wouldn't come out then I say hey can't they climb things? We look up and it was right above us on the fence. Then one time about 2 weeks ago we are knocking on the less actives door and the biggest spider is above us and my companion hit the web it is on and it falls down swinging almost into my face and I started jumped because I had no where to go I was in a corner and I might have swilled like a pig or a little kids a good amount of times as it swung back and fore towards my face. Well Love you guys tons got to go!!! I will update you on the workage of my card next week thanks!! :)

Story time! I finally thought of one even though I have a million. Oh man Robby!! Do I have the story for you!! So last night we final got to go meet a young couple who aren't members but had been taught a couple of times by the other missionaries in a members house and then they send the referral to us. So it is a young couple with a son that is 1. We go in a it is pure Spanish and we sit down and I look at the young guy and he looks just like you!! Could be your twin. It was weird when we started teaching his mannerisms were like yours and his hair and hair duo. I also thought that the way he was acting when we were teaching he would be just like you. I told him that and he just laughed. cool young couple! Haha the whole time we taught I wanted to talk to him like he was you haha. Give him a big huge and scare him haha. ( I wrote this to Robby first and didn't want to rewrite it.) Family!! Also tell the young women thanks for the package I loved it! So that is good that you think the Melissa story is funny. It is now. haha not then but it is crazy memories. Oh man dad you are just on the go everywhere!! We had dinner with the Stake President last night and they have 7 children and the penultimate of the kids asked me to guess what her favorite thing to do was and I asked her what it started with and she said G and I guessed very fast jumping!!!!!! Right???!!!  The whole family laughed at me and said no, no, no, G no j not much Spanish for you and I said not enough study of English. It was fun with all the family. Also one of their teenaged son said to me one time, after sitting with the kids at a ward party, how much time do you got in the mission? I asked slowly haha and he said well you are going to get married fast because you are so good with kids and they love you. I died when you said that and I said mm well more like 5 years after the mission that sounds better. We also had Stake conference this past Sunday it was pretty full which was good so full we didn't even find out investigator that came we texted him after and he said I looked for you too. He is a man that has investigated the church for a very long time and then stopped and then an answer to his pray was to go to the Mormon church so he came back again we have been teaching him for a while now. He is the investigator that reminds me or Don. I am still working on the bike problem. The day I called the mission about my bike is the day after the Senior Missionary who was over that had just finished his mission who was super good at his job! Bummer SO now the responsibility goes to the Assistants  to the President and they are super slow and getting back to people! We also have a new thing in the mission call the chain of command so I have to work through the Zone leaders to get ahold of them and that is the problem or I call the office and they are never there when I call. However, I will be fixing this problem soon. I think I got to the mission office in a week or two for a training with my greenie. How is Grandma doing? I love the story that aunt Mellonee had of her. I hope she is doing well. The area that I am in is mostly white people and a little richer in some part of the area I have learned and grown a great deal in this area. We have some people that we have been teaching but all of a sudden drop of the face of the earth then we hear from them again so that is always exciting. We were going to have a guy get baptized last week but last time I had heard of him he was at a gas station next to his house with no car for the car or money but we don't know where he went. he is another guy who has been learning about the church for a while also. I love you guys so much!!! I love this work and we are working super hard!!!! Till next time!! :)

Weird!

I got a called to day from a weird number. It was the Missionaries in my area wondering if I would still like to hear a message from them! I laughed at them and asked if they were LDS and then told them I was already a member, for my whole life! I said that may be my number was there by mistake probably because I was helping fellowship someone!  Funny! But then the more I thought about it the weirder it was so I decided to google the area code! It was from Texas! Specifically Brownsville, McAllen, Laredo and South Padre Island, Texas areas! Why are people from your area calling me like I am an investigator! The number was _________! So weird! Did you right my number down if an area book?

Oh yes so about that... So my last companion love him to death but he had some problems with playing jokes and being obedient. So about that super sorry that that happened. Well so the story starts when my companion and I are cleaning the area book out which the other missionaries before us were not too well at keeping it up to date. However, the missionaries before that did save investigators numbers under an investigator section so I come up with the idea to call the numbers to see if the people would be interested again. So I look for a name that isn't spanish so my greenie could call so it would be in english. SO I look and find a name that is super white so I handed the phone to him and then he calls it. He starts to talk then says oh your a member? Oh for your whole life? So I am think oh sweet a less active in our area no one knows about we'll visit them! then I hear him say the name aloud and signal for him to hang up! to not talk more. Then I have the most shocked face in the whole world like how did that number get in the phone?!? Then the spirit of my conscience tells me that is was my last companion before hand I think he got it when I said it to the member that called you for college stuff. I was not happy with him. So my greenie called you during weekly planning. Super duber sorry. We earazied your number from the phone completely so that won't happen again we laughed then went on with more planning. So don't worry I am being obedient and not writing your information in area books. It is the craziest thing that you were the first person we called. weird is the right word. So don't call the number you have because that would be us. haha fun to laugh about now. super wiered out too.  My greenie was just glad it was in english he didn't mind. Love ya!

Family!!! :)
Yes it is suppose to be in the 30s on friday down here. Oh man that is crazy that Grandma fell. That is super good that Koda is doing great! well things are going great here. Funny thing that dad asked about my bike because it broke down in me last week. It is still rideable but the gears would change anymore it is stuck in 2 Or 3 and then 7 on the big one. So it is a chanellege to ride sometime. However, I believe that the mission has a good amount of extras and they said that they might lend my out one till the end of my mission or there is a member that might sell me a newer one for a better price. SO don't worry I will get that taken care of.  This past week was a good one. also i have a crazy story and you will have to ask Melissa about it. I am running out of things to write again super sorry. My companion is doing well. We get along good. He is doing well and is enjoyed the learing experiences out here. He don't understand my humor sometimes so that is fun. I can only think of one story but it isn't good. It was on monday I called to get my card activated and I was on hold for ever and then one of the elders told me it is a Holiday I bet that they are closed?. yup there were. We played Volleyball on Pday if was fun. I like playing but at the same time I don't because it shows me how bad I have gotten and how out of shape I have become. I go to spike the ball and can't jump high enough to get on top of the ball. I just laugh that is all I can do. It isn't competative volleyball either like rallies. The work is going a little bit slower. We have been working super hard and smart. most things aren't working but those are the times that you grow the most. The time that you talk to people and they reject you just helps to know that you are so much closer at finding that person that is waiting for you and is ready to hear the gospel. I know that the success will come maybe in changing ourselves or planting seeds. It will speed up here soon. I can feel your prayers always and love all the love and support that you have for me. Haha I doubt I could live down stairs it is so dark and I would be all by myself. that is just wierd. :) Haha next week I need a list of questions because I am running out of things to say? oh yes tell Sydnee that that is to funny that she ran a stop sign that is worse than driving on the wrong side of the road in your driving test. Crazy to hear that everyone in their family is taller than Aunt Mellonee. I wish that I would have grown taller on the mission but I didn't there is still tons of time though. Oh I also took care of my licence to extend it I sent it in about a day or 2 ago. also is my pin number still the same for my new card I had that question that i needed answered?? Love you tons!
